Agents Working Group Roadmap

March 2025

The Agents Working Group has just formed, and we’re excited to build a vibrant community around agentic AI. Below is our roadmap, outlining our goals for the short, medium, and long term.

Short-Term Goals (March 2025 - June 2025)

1. Host Our First Meeting
   • Schedule and hold the inaugural meeting of the Agents Working Group.
   • Establish meeting cadence (e.g., bi-weekly or monthly).
   • Define initial topics for discussion and collaboration.
2. Build the Community
   • Grow membership by reaching out to AI enthusiasts, researchers, and practitioners.
   • Set up communication channels (e.g., GitHub Discussions, Slack, or Discord).
   • Create a welcoming onboarding process for new members.
3. Define Scope and Objectives
   • Draft a mission statement and core objectives for the working group.
   • Identify key focus areas for agentic AI (e.g., multi-agent systems, autonomous agents, etc.).

Medium-Term Goals (July 2025 - December 2025)

1. Launch Collaborative Projects
   • Start small, community-driven projects to explore agentic AI concepts.
   • Provide resources and guidance for members to contribute effectively.
2. Host Workshops and Knowledge Sharing
   • Organize workshops, webinars, or hackathons to share knowledge and skills.
   • Invite guest speakers from the AI community to share insights.
3. Develop Documentation and Resources
   • Create a repository of resources (e.g., tutorials, research papers, tools).
   • Publish best practices for working with agentic AI systems.

Long-Term Goals (2026 and Beyond)

1. Publish Research and Tools
   • Collaborate on research papers or open-source tools for agentic AI.
   • Contribute to the broader AI community with innovative solutions.
2. Establish Partnerships
   • Partner with other AI organizations, research labs, or industry groups.
   • Explore opportunities for joint projects or funding.
3. Become a Leading Voice in Agentic AI
   • Position the Agents Working Group as a thought leader in agentic AI.
   • Host conferences or summits focused on agentic AI advancements.
